The Dictionary of Dangerous Ideasis a collection of the most challenging concepts facing business leaders at the dawn of the 21st century. At the intersection of emerging technologies, and new patterns of human behaviour, the ideas in the Dictionary have been chosen for both their potential to transform the way companies operate, and to inspire new forms of thinking.
"Oscar Wilde said it best an idea that is not dangerous is unworthy of being called an idea at all."
Mike pairs an explanation for how modern technology is being used in modern business technique, and then leaves us with a question (paired with an image). For example, on page 125 he talks about data profiling and data mining, then leaves us with the question:
'In the near future, will privacy be a luxury for just the rich and paranoid'
Although it is about business and marketing strategy, the book definitely has a personal element; this is evident in the tone of the writing, and the consistency of the graphics and images shown. All the photos in the book were taken by Mike with his beaten but beloved Leica.
