Russell A. Stevenson (1890-1981) held the post of Dean of the School of Business Administration at both the University of Minnesota (1926-1944) and the University of Michigan (1944-1961). He also served as a member of t he Small Business Advisory Committee of the U.S. Department of Commerce from 1946-1952. Roland S. Vaile, the editor of this collection, was a professor of marketing at the University of Minnesota.
