Anna Brady and Richard Wall have completed an important new bibliography.... The film periodical holdings of 35 libraries were reviewed by the editors, and their union listing provides both subject and title access to an estimated 2,000 periodicals (with a Geographical Index). The description of each title includes complete title, country of publication, language, ISSN, first publication date, former and subsequent titles if applicable, and explanatory notes where appropriate. Brady provides an exemplary introduction to the work, explaining use and methodology. The Union List of Film Periodicals is the first thorough listing of more than a thousand film periodicals with the libraries and institutions in the United States where they can be found. The information provided with each title includes the country of publication, language of text, beginning and ending dates, and the ISSN numbers where available. All periodicals listed are available from at least one collection in America. Two handy indexes cover title changes and geographical origins.
