Description

It takes a particular kind of cussed perseverance to stay with some things. Wiley Anderson wouldnt have been a dirt-poor farmer if he hadnt also been a very determined and cussed type of fellow.

But his wife wasnt cut from the same bolt, and pretty soon she ran off with a trader. Wiley didnt hold it against her, women being weak anyhow, but he sure felt badly about the trader. He figured to find the man and kill him. To do this, Wiley had to enlist. (It was the only way he could get West for free.)

There was an awful lot between Wiley and his objective, and the Army was just the beginning. But Wiley didnt give up . . .
