In the highly anticipated return of Robert Vaughans iconic protagonist, Lucas Cain, the notorious rambling man finds himself embroiled in Old West justice.
Haunted by the memory of the SULTANA riverboat disaster, where he witnessed countless lives perish, Deputy U.S. Marshal Lucas Cain reunites with his old friend, Jim Barnes, now living as a small rancher. When Jims livelihood is shattered by the ruthless theft of two hundred cows, Lucas pledges to recover the stolen herd.
As Lucas navigates treacherous Texas landscapes, he encounters the alluring Carolina McVey. Their growing connection, however, becomes a battleground for Lucas as he grapples with the lingering love for his late wife.
When a stagecoach arrives in town with all its passengers dead on arrival, known as the Ghost Coach, whispers of Rufus Marley, a remorseless outlaw leader, spread fear throughout the community. Forced to confront his own demons, Lucas stands against a nemesis who stops at nothingand no one.
With a showdown looming on the horizon, the courage of this rambling man is about to be tested once again.
