Leonard Bannister, a young man wants to make life easer for his mother. He becomes friend with Irving Kline, a banker and stock broker. Needing money to invest he gets a job with Eric Atwater a wealth business man. It is while working for Atwater, Leonard becomes a transporter of bootlegged whiskey and rum. Leonard learns that his dad's death may not have been an accident as he was told years ago. He begins his quest for the truth. With the advice from his high school coach and help from an ATF agent he learns the truth.
Lawrence J. Lilienthal Sr. is a native of Meriden, Ct. A retired U. S. Marine, he began writing short stories in 2014 and completed his first novel, The Red Rose Raiders in 2016. Lilienthal is a member of The Carteret Writers and The Word Weaver Critique Group. He now resides in Eastern North Carolina and enjoys visiting Maggie Valley.
