Description

Humankind has spread throughout the stars, but has still learned precious little about how to live together. In a backwater star system, a vicious war rages between two dystopias, each trying to surpass the other in brutality. Caught in the middle is a young recruit, one of the crew of a tank destroyer, a machine designed to hunt the battlefield's most lethal armored monstrosities. As she faces murderous enemies, inscrutable technology and the psychological toll of war, it's all an ordinary soldier can do just to survive. Even if she can escape death, will she be able to hold onto her humanity

Drawn with an art style as harsh and grimy as the world it's set in, inspired by the aesthetics of extreme metal, grimdark wargaming, and old-school anime and manga, this nightmare of technology pulls no punches!

Author Bio

Matthew Nelson is a sci-fi and fantasy artist from Los Angeles who works in both traditional and digital media. He just finished his first graphic novel Burnt Sand and is looking forward to sharing the new projects he has in the works. He draws inspiration from classical art, retro anime, 20th century illustration, and even heavy metal music. He's been drawing for as long as he can remember and believes in making art for people to feel deep emotions, bring the infinite inner world into the tangible realm, and sometimes to scream at the world to be better while beating it over the head with a spiked baseball bat.
