An adrenaline-filled war story that depicts the challenges of military special operations in a dangerous, boulder-filled landscape The Company has a special secret operation planned for one of their top agents: the leaders of the Taliban and al-Qaeda terrorist groups are hiding out in Pashtun country, and they must be eliminated. The job falls toa man they have named Frank Morgan--an agent who stood out as a recruit at Quantico and whose skills resemble those of the legendary Vietnam assassin. The other soldiers claim Frank's abilities as a sniper and a tracker border on the supernatural and are more than willing to complete this mission with him.
"Lealos writes about Afghanistan as if hes been there, and Morgan and his comrades operate with ruthlessness and cunning in a war in which almost no one can be trusted and death is not the worst fate that can be befall you . . . the sordidness of this ugly war shines through it all." Publisher's Weekly
"Brilliant! Pashtun is fast paced, packed with action, and very well written. I thoroughly enjoyed the book! Ron Lealos provides a very realistic glimpse of life on the front lines, the realities and brutalities of war while routinely facing death in the line of duty. His writing style has a unique way of exposing raw emotions. I was quite impressed and captivated by Lealoss very accurate portrayal of the Taliban, the CIA, and the way he and his fellow Special Operations warriors faced life and death situations on a regular basis." Don Mann, CWO3/SEAL Team 6/Ret, bestselling author of SEAL Team Six: My Life and Missions with America's Elite Warriors
"A romping ride through the Hindu Kush where the best is like the worst and no one is to be trusted. Pashtun will keep you turning the pages following hero Frank Morgans plunge into assassination, survival and revenge." James Bruno, bestselling author of Havana Queen
