Description

Its autumn at the Comfort Food Caf and the leaves are golden, the lattes are spiced and love might just be brewing for one new resident

Reclusive author Sarah is seeking refuge in the quiet village of Budbury, and the last thing she needs is a fake boyfriend. Except thats exactly what she gets and the fake boyfriend just happens to be gorgeous, rugged Aidan, complete with an easy charm and an old soul that makes him seem like hes just stepped straight out of the pages of a novel. Using him to keep her nosy family at bay, hes happy to do her a favour in return for help with his rather unusual dog-sitting predicament.

But nothing in Budbury stays pretend for long. Especially not when theres a hint of autumn magic in the air, with a sprinkle of Halloween mischief.

Full of heart, humour and a touch of spooky charm, this is the perfect cosy read for autumn nights.

Author Bio

Debbie Johnson is a best-selling author who lives and works in Liverpool, where she divides her time between writing, caring for a small tribe of children and animals, and not doing the housework. She worked as a journalist for many years, until she decided it would be more fun to make up her own stories than to tell other peoples. After trying her hand at pretty much every genre of writing other than Westerns and spy dramas, she has settled on womens fiction that seems to make people laugh and make people cry, often at the same time. Her books include The Birthday That Changed Everything, Pippas Cornish Dream, and Summer at the Comfort Food Cafe, all published by HarperCollins. She also ghost-wrote model and presenter Abbey Clancys debut novel, Remember My Name. Follow her on twitter @debbiemjohnson, or at www.facebook.com/debbiejohnsonauthor but be warned, she mainly talks about dogs.
