Author Bio

Over a career spanning five decades, journalist, presenter and campaigner Dame Esther Rantzen has appeared in more than 2,000 television programmes. She now regularly contributes to The One Show, and political and news programmes on many different topics, especially those relating to growing old ungracefully, and the abuse of children and older people. She's also a reality TV favourite with appearances on Strictly, First Dates and I'm a Celebrity. As a writer, she contributes to the Daily Mail, the Telegraph and The Times, and is also the author of five other books. Dame Esther was awarded the DBE in 2015 for her work on behalf of children and older people, through Child LIne and Silver Line. This is her sixth book, and she lives in the New Forest.
