In 2008 she was awarded the Crime Writers' Association's Cartier Diamond Dagger for her outstanding contribution to the genre.Sue wrote twenty-five novels in her alphabet series featuring Private Investigator Kinsey Millhone, most recently Y is for Yesterday, before her death in California in December 2017
