Lawyer Reiji Mikoshiba returns to his job after a long layoff to be involved in a murder mystery that does not add up. The victim's family is being too defensive but there is no evidence to prove the suspect was not guilty. Mikoshiba must find a way to reveal what is being hidden from everyone's collective memory of the incident. This unconventional and unpredictable thriller combines the very best of Eastern atmosphere with Western crime elements, creating an unforgettably vivid spectacle.
Born in 1961, in the mountains of Gifu, Nakayama has always been an avid reader. Since before he entered kindergarten, he was actively reading Sir Conan Doyle and his Sherlock Holmes series, Maurice Leblanc's Lupin books, and a number of Agatha Christie novels . Mysteries were his staple and that continued through his college years as we would make it a habit to read up on each of the Edogawa Rampo Award winners. In 2006 however he shifted his perspective from reader to writer with the support of an award winning author. For the first time in 20 years he was writing prose again and his first project was a finalist for Takarashima's Great Mystery Award. And after working on his craft a bit more he finally took the award in 2009 with his book entitled, Good-bye DeBussy. Debuting as an author at age 46 may have been a challenge, but Nakayama would turn that into an opportunity to release decades worth of ideas. He has since released twenty books including the popular Nocturne series.
