A murder mystery party - and a real-life locked-room murder mystery - all take place in a crumbling country house. This is Tom Hindle's fiendish follow-up to A Fatal Crossing. One house. Nine guests. Endless motives for murder... In the seaside town of Hamlet Wick, nine guests assemble for a New Year's Eve party to remember. The owner of Hamlet Hall has organised a murder mystery evening with a 1920s twist, and everyone has their own part to play. But the game has barely begun when one guest is found dead - killed by a fatal injury to the head. With no phone signal and no way out of the house, the others are trapped with a killer in their midst. Someone is playing by their own rules. And in a close-knit community, old rivalries run deep... Praise for Tom Hindle- 'A new heir to Agatha Christie...classic crime for the 21st century' Ragnar J nasson 'This is riveting stuff, breathing new life into the traditional locked-room mystery. Hindle puts a 21st century spin on a Golden Age tale that's both captivating and cunning' The Sun 'Tricksy, expertly plotted and kept me guessing till the end' Adam Simcox 'A 1920s-themed murder mystery evening in a country house turns surprisingly realistic in this thriller from the bestselling author of A Fatal Crossing' Cosmopolitan 'Don't ask yourself whether to buy or not to buy this captivating mystery. Just do it' Douglas Skelton 'Twist after gut-punching twist' M. W. Craven 'Dazzling' Crime Monthly 'Suspenseful' Country Life Magazine 'It may be a close knit community, but there's a few residents who would do anything - we do mean, anything - to keep their secrets buried deep' Belfast Telegraph
