Amira Vasileva moved to Brooklyn, NY, in 2016 from Russia with little-to-no knowledge of English. It was very challenging. Born in Voronezh, Russia, and growing up in Moscow, you don't expect your world to collapse and the bad choices you've made in the past to catch up with you. But Amira didn't give up, no matter the constant rude comments she received from peers and even some teachers.

Reading was (and still is) her safe place to relax and understand that no matter what happens around her, she is not alone. There is always someone in the world who experiences the same things you do.

Without confidence, Amira wouldn't be the top student in her classes, shareholder, writer... but most importantly, who she is right now. She believes that certain experiences change you to the core. That's why she started writing. She wants to make sure that people won't make the mistakes she did, the mistakes she saw. It's all about the experience and Amira is ready to share it in the most unusual and extraordinary way.
