Description

Under normal circumstances, lifting a landmass is impossible. Under normal circumstances. But a lot can change in a year as Richard Cronin discovers. While attending the Messengers of Hope Reunion, a chance to remake the world's former greatest source of inspiration, his best friend and co-founder is killed when the event is taken hostage. Rich inherits the property and decides to turn around his life and bring purpose to it by finding ways to do good in the world and be more than a voice of compassion. Almost immediately after this happened, a being appears on Earth, hiding from its view, changing and challenging creatures, pollution, and politics around the globe with abilities that are impossible by modern science and technology. Not long after it's appearance, incidents occur around the world where humans suddenly yet temporarily gain similar powers to this being. With rising death tolls after these "awakenings", humanity struggles to decide if those people are still human, and if any peace can ever be found again when these awakened insist on following their own sense of morality. When Rich awakens, he realizes that this power has rules and limits, and there must be someone ready to face these awakened if civilization is to refrain from returning to rule by the strongest. The world comes to realize that being a god has no meaning without purpose, and any purpose needs morals to follow.
