Book one in the series introduces us to the main protagonist, Rick who was captured by Captain Cutlass of the Southern Pirate Clan at the age of four. When he turns 18, Rick embarks on a quest across the seven seas of Reefia with Captain Cutlass and his pirate crew to collect the fabled seven medallions that are said to be the key to unlocking the Circle of Justice, a treasure-filled island with a portal to the world of mystics who possess magical powers. The medallions are guarded by formidable sea creaturesKraken, Lava Dragon, King Claw, Golden Bird, Wallruster, Quetzal, and Thundra Hydrawho engage Rick and the pirates in epic battles. Each battle takes them closer to collecting all the medallion. But Cutlass and his crew are not the only ones searching for the medallions, so too is the menacing Captain Blackblade of the Western Pirate Clan, wielder of the powerful Ebony Blade. Along the way, Rick learns secrets about his past, forges friendships and comes to understand the meaning of family. Filled with action, humor and unexpected twists and turns, this book is sure to captivate children of all ages.
