The Sun Phoenix, the only one of her kind, has lived a long time. Whenever she grows old she builds herself a lovely pyre and is reborn from the ashes, becoming young again. Generations of crow buddies and eagle friends provide her with some company, and Father Sun comes to her mountaintop to chat when he can, but one day she begins to feel deep in her heart that something important is missing from her life.She decides to ask Father Sun a question whose answer leads her to discover an entire hidden realm filled with fantastic creatures and unique new Magick, and to discover more about her own dark origins that continue to pose a threat not only to her but also the rest of the world. Author Bio

Care Lynn Marshall, a former long-time nanny, has always enjoyed sharing her love of reading and storytelling with the children she helped raise. Inspired by a dream, she decided to begin writing young adult novels to share her stories with other children and adults as well. She is a member of The Center for Spiritual Living Greater Las Vegas, where she is active in their Global Heart ministry, supporting a school in Nairobi, Kenya, with a personal emphasis on getting school uniforms for all the students. When she isn't busy writing, she spends her free time crafting, singing karaoke, riding her motorcycle and searching for odd and unique lava lamps to add to her extensive collection. She currently lives in Nevada with her significant other.
