Doris Webster (1885-1967) and Mary Alden Hopkins (1876-1960) co-authored a series of pioneering party books throughout the 1920s and 30s. Alongside her writing work, Doris was a director of the Rider Press, while Mary was a journalist and activist who campaigned for women's suffrage in the United States. Together they wrote Consider the Consequences, which in 1930 became the world's first ever interactive gamebook.
