The story centers around a parole officer who is frustrated with the system and fights to go to work each day. He meets a reporter at a large city newspaper who is having the same problem and together they form a friendship that keeps them both sane while fighting the bureaucracy, mendacity of managers and general disgust of having to work in a system designed by geniuses to be run by idiots.
Ric Latarski worked as a writer and in law enforcement in the Atlanta area for more than thirty years. He has written for a variety of newspapers, magazines, did commentary for Georgia Public Broadcasting and sketches for a local comedy group.
