Description

When Dot wins the lottery, her newfound friend Max helps her make a bucket list of all the things shes always wanted to do but never had the chance.

Dot is a curmudgeonly pensioner; Max is a young offender. Both have lost their way in life: she feels like she has nothing more to offer; he hasnt yet realised his full potential. After fate compels them together, the duo help pull each other out of their comfort zones. They soon find they share a wicked sense of humour, a passion for superheroes and a penchant for petty crime. And in the end, they discover that life has more to offer them both, and that benevolence is the currency of happiness.

Author Bio

Russell Jones is an Edinburgh-based writer and editor. He was the UKs first Pet Poet Laureate, has published six poetry collections, three fantasy novels, one graphic novel and has edited three writing anthologies. Russell is the deputy editor of Scotland's only sci-fi magazine, organises sci-fi cabaret nights in Edinburgh and has a PhD in Creative Writing.
