Nic Carraway doesnt belong amongst the super-rich, but when she scores a cheap summer lease in Long Island, it-girl Jay Gatsby becomes her neighbour.

Gatsby welcomes Nic to her opulent parties attended by the worlds A-list. And in return, Nic helps Gatsby reconnect with an old flame: Nics cousin, the ever-charming but now-married Danny Buchanan.

But no one can be careless like the rich. As the summer heats up, Nic finds herself tangled in a web of longing and ambition, betrayal and deceit. In a world where everyone is lying about and to themselves can Nic finally tell the truth

For readers of The Paper Palace, this hot summer story genderflips and reimagines F Scott Fitzgerald's classic novel

Reviews

'A clever, gender-flipped modern-day retelling of the classic'Grazia

'Fans of The Great Gatsby are in for a treat' The Bookseller

'In this superb retelling, the author deftly places her Gatsby in the social media age, living an American Dream that promises anybody can fake it. It's stylish and beautifully written, with a cast of the most decadently unhinged characters. I highly recommend joining the party James Goodhand, author of The Day Tripper

'This timely and unputdownable retelling of the classic tale transports the action to a setting that fascinates and repulses in equal measure. Packed with compelling characters, plenty of intrigue and OTT decadence, it's a seriously impressive debut' Rosie Mullender, author of Ghosted

'A beautifully written reimagining of The Great Gatsby. By flipping the genders and updating the setting, this well-known story is cleverly altered to give a brand new telling that is equally compelling and atmospheric. Gatsby is an addictive read with a heady mix of tension, exquisitely described excess, and a delicious darkness hovering beneath the glittering surface. I loved it' Amanda Jennings, author of Beautiful People

'Smart, stylish and scandalously sexy A clever, intoxicating fresh take on a story that feels made for the influencer era' Rosamund Dean, author of Reconstruction

'A delicious skewering of todays Polite Society Gatsby has never felt more relevant!' Hanna Flint, author of Strong Female Character
