Author Bio

Maureen Luby Cummins was born in Washington D.C., the daughter of a career Naval officer and graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy. She and her sister , Michele, grew up living all over the world. Maureen attended high schools in Norfolk, Virginia; Long Beach, California; Yokohama, Japan and Alexandria, Virginia. She graduated from Longwood University in Virginia with a degree in English and has a master's degree as a reading specialist from Washburn University, Topeka, Kansas. Maureen lives in Auburn, Kansas, is married to Terry Cummins, a CPA, and has a married daughter, Meredith, a son-in-law, Bryan, and a ten year old grandson, Evan. She is the Operations Manager of SCARS, a no kill sanctuary for homeless dogs.
