Queen of Beauty was the winner of the Hubert Church Best First Book of Fiction Award at the 2003 Montana New Zealand Book Awards and the 2001 Adam Foundation Prize for Creative Writing.

Author Bio

Paula Morris (Ngati Wai) was born in Auckland and spent more than a decade in London and New York, working as a record company executive, advertising copywriter, and brand strategist. She is the author of two other novels: Hibiscus Coast, and Trendy But Casual. She currently lives in New Orleans and teaches creative writing at Tulane University.
