Katie Agnew was born in Edinburgh and studied in Aberdeen and London. She worked as a journalist for many years, writing for Cosmopolitan, Red and the Daily Mail amongst others. Features editor at Marie Claire for two years, she then became a novelist with DROP DEAD GORGEOUS, which won a WH Smith Fresh Talent award. Katie now lives in Bath with her family.
