George is captivated by Cass and who could blame her Cass is gorgeous, fun and flirty and their relationship has evolved from mere co-workers at a bustling Auckland restaurant to partners in explicit rampages through bars and into beds all over town. But George's past holds the key to her self-destructive behaviour and through a series of flashbacks we learn that George has been holding onto a secret that even now could destroy her. Vividly written with exceptional characters and a compelling story, the action zings off the page at a furious pace.
Leigh Marsden was born in Taupo, New Zealand. During a fairly regular upbringing, her parents instilled in her a quiet knowledge that anything was possible in life with a bit of hard work. After her high school years, which involved playing girls' rugby and excelling in English and Accounting, Leigh attended the University of Auckland, where she completed a Bachelor of Arts in English and Linguistics followed by a Masters in Speech and Language Therapy. Since leaving university, Leigh has worked as a Speech and Language Therapist in Auckland, and when the travelling bug struck, as a stewardess onboard a superyacht in the Mediterranean and an innkeeper in Canada. She now lives with her husband in Geraldine, New Zealand. She is certain that being a writer is the best career choice of all.
