Description

The first rule of love - love life first (and most).

Love stories are usually about almost anything but love. If you talk about love, most of the words used are about trying to explain the attraction. But that's just stupid. Love doesn't have sense, make sense, or behave sensibly. That's how you know it's love. If you can explain it, "You're not in love."

Sometimes there is no escaping the past. In the small Virginia town of Weyer's Cave, prophecy takes center stage. "The day will come when all that is lost will be won, and that which is hidden will be found, and on that day, the South will rise again."

Small towns have secrets. And that's part of what makes Southern charm most engaging. We are a people of custom and tradition, and the way we talk sounds most formal and softly spoken. Who would ever think our small town holds the Keys to the Universe Such a small space on any map, mostly a stop along the way between destination and home, yet it is here that everything is changed, and the nature of the human heart is revealed and transformed.

In the center of town is Vi Barr's Luncheonette. It is a special place. "Good Eats," and good for you too. Drop by for the food, and then stay for the show. But for God's sake, don't ask for a breakfast sandwich. As Vi says, "If you want food, you can carry around in your hand; I don't have anything to fit your mouth." And for those who cook at home she'd advise, "A glass of wine for dinner makes a bad cook taste better."

Things are usually what they seem. That's the meaning of normal. If you like reading about the usual being the same, then for sure you're gonna be disappointed. In Weyer's Cave, a twelve fingered man and a one legged woman will change your understanding of disability and ability forever, and a day more.
