Description

This is a vivid tale of young men facing the obstacles of chasing the American dream (trying to provide a better life) for their families. On their journey they make a wrong decision and turn to the street life. The route they chose stole their innocence which made them encounter betrayal, murder and prison. Words were written to their first-born children in the hopes they would choose a different route and not have to endure the same suffering as their father's.

Author Bio

Shanon Shorter was raised with his two siblings, by his single mother in Sacramento, California. Despite his circumstances he continues to be a devoted father to his four children. His story is a testament of transformation and growth. He is currently awaiting his appeal while serving a life sentence without parole.
