About the Author

Violet Vanessa McNeal-Wells was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma in 1954. She received her BA from National University in 1995 and subsequently received her MA from San Diego State University in 1997.
Violet is a mother, grandmother and author that enjoys reading books aloud to children.
One day while sitting quietly, Violet thought about grandchildren and great-grandchildren she may never get to meet. It was then she penned Violet and the Butterfly, which was her first book.
