Author Bio

Dr. Bukky Salako was born in Nigeria and raised in Maryland. She received her Ph.D. in Composition and TESOL from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and her master's degree in TESOL from Inter American University of Puerto Rico. She has published and participated in a variety of conferences on non-native English speakers. She has a keen interest in the field of sociolinguistics analysis, composition studies, second language acquisition, African American Vernacular English, and Nigerian Pidgin English. She has studied in Puerto Rico and South Korea, lived in Nigeria briefly, and visited many other countries. When she is not writing, she loves to travel and volunteer in the media department at her church.
