Description

A coming of age tale where pirates have cellphones and automobiles, a young Latina pirate named Marina discovers that her mother, Coral, is a mermaid. Growing up throughout the years, she, with the help of her older brother Oar and their father Behr, has to hide her mermaid side from the rest of the pirates while also learning secrets about her mother's past life. This is a tale about discovering, hiding in plain sight and change.
