Perry Cozzen is a native of Lamesa Texas and grew up on a cotton farm. He attended Texas Christian University in 1963 to 1966 before he enlisted in theAir Force. After his service, he lived in ColoradoSprings, Colorado and in Orinda, California beforereturning to Fort Worth, Texas and finished hisdegree at Texas Christian University in 1973. In 2012, he retired to Fort Davis, Texas, where he writes andtakes photographs. Perry has had several storiespublished, and this book is a collections of hiswritings, told in his west Texas language.
