Following his acclaimed 2004-5 selection, his first for Faber, comes David Marcus's new volume. Featuring previously unpublished authors alongside established names - such as Joseph O'Connor, Sebastian Barry, John Banville and Mary Leland - it will be another important and timely collection. A celebration of the short story and its long links to Ireland's literary heritage. David Marcus's ongoing commitment to championing this form also looks forward to the future and a new generation of Irish writers emerging in the globalised world of today.
"'Excellent... Marcus, as ever, selects on quality while remaining even-handed.' Guardian"
