Paula W. Peterson is the author of Penitent, with Roses- An HIV+ Mother Reflects, which won the Bakeless Prize from the Bread Loaf Writer's Conference. Her short fiction has been selected for inclusion in Best American Nonrequired Reading as well as among one hundred distinguished stories of the year in Best American Short Stories.
