Description

Since the day Connie Monroe started working as a chambermaid at The Connaught Hotel in Leicester she has dreamed of improving her position. She is overjoyed, therefore, when the hotel manager, Captain Fosedyke, gives her a lucky break and invites her to help Miss Harbin on the reception desk. Then the inexperienced owner of the hotel, Miss Griffin, arrives to regain control of the neglected business and it seems that the time has come for Connie to prove how resourceful she can really be. Lynda Page was born and brought up in Leicester. The eldest of four daughters, she left home at seventeen and has had a wide variety of office jobs. She lives in Leicester.
