Description

An epic tale of life, love and loyalty from the authors of To My Daughter in France. During their childhood years in the Kenya Highlands of the 1950s, three girls from vastly different backgrounds become blood sisters, promising that nothing will ever destroy the bond between them. But as they grow up love rivalries, broken promises and the tensions and violence of a newly independent Kenya threaten to tear their childhood dreams apart.

Reviews

Read this huge, gloriously entertaining book instead of going to the gym...The Keating girls live in different countries, but they write seamlessly as one. * The Times *
This is a tremendously accomplished, fullthroated saga delivering romance, betrayal, murder and mayhem...It's the kind of book you have to read by torchlight under the bedclothes after lights out * Daily Mail *
Moving and utterly enthralling. You find yourself submerged in the traditions, the touch, the smell, the visible and the invisible world of a glorious yet divided world peppered with chilling, unexptected danger -- Angela Fisher, author of Africa Adorned
