In its truest sense, The Ghost of Put-In-Bay is a story of redemption. "Old Joe" Stachowiak, an alcoholic dying of cancer, returns to his favorite place on earth to live out his final days. As the summer goes by, he meets and gradually befriends some workers on the island who help him to rediscover the meaning in his life.
Daryl J. Lukas is a retired history teacher living in Michigan with his wife, Diane, and their dog, Charlie. He's the author of three chapbooks, a children's book, and two books of poetry. He enjoys traveling with his wife, taking naps with his dog, puttering around the house, and drinking beer. But above all else, he marvels at life and appreciates each day - and he believes that Jesus Christ is his Lord and Savior. The Ghost of Put-In-Bay is his first novel.
