Dr. Ahmed Al-Rawi is an Associate Professor at the School of Communication at Simon Fraser University, Canada. His research expertise is related to the study offolklore,popular culture, and communication with emphasis on the Middle East. Al-Rawi has published several academic studies that traced the historical origins of mythical creatures in Arabia like the ghoul, rukh, and dragon often using cross-cultural literary comparisons.
