Jul began his professional life as a teacher of Chinese history in university, but soon became a political cartoonist for various newspaper, including Charlie Hebdo. In 2005 he published his first graphic novel, and in 2009 created Silex in the City, a huge hit that was made into a cartoon for Franco-German TV channel Arte. Achde began drawing comics at age three and has never stopped. Creator of such series as CRS=detresse and Woker (with Widenlocher), he eventually fulfilled a childhood dream when he was asked to take over as artist for Lucky Luke.
