Aimed at all those interested in drawing the human face, "Portrait Drawing" introduces a traditional method of teaching that uses a structured and natural process of continuous revision based on the principle of working from the general towards the particular. This enables the student to understand not only how to do it, but more importantly why. "Portrait Drawing" will help the student build confidence and an understanding of themselves and their work within the ancient tradition of portraiture. Written in the manner of one of the author's highly acclaimed tutorials, each stage is presented in a practical and informal way, which attempts to clarify misconceptions and reduce the anxieties usually associated with portraiture. The course contains detailed step-by-step guidance covering all aspects of the face.
