Description

How much suffering can one man take before he becomes more than that of a man Would he break, or become something more Told through the first-person perspective of our blind protagonist Louie, his story begins seemingly at every end he's come to in his life. Growing up in a world he can't remember, the one he's living in, along with the rules, keeps changing. Unable to tell the difference between dream and reality, a blind man's dreams merge his reality. Without her, he falls deep in the eerie and disturbing cracks of life questioning the duality of love and of God. Through the guidance of a shape-shifting being, he conquers his demons, leaving him that of the one thing he once feared. When he reaches Purgatory, is that what he once seeks at the end A modern interpretation of the Divine Comedy.

Author Bio

My first book, Checkpoint, was a stepping stone for something greater. A majority of this story takes place in my cousin's home, which is actually a home that was built in the 1700s, and currently exists in the small quiet town of Connecticut. His home was unlike anything I had ever seen, and studying the layout I knew I had to make this as my focal point for this short story. It has so much character, so much history, I had to bring life, or something different, to a home we don't see anymore. Minus a few monsters and mannequins, this house deserved a story that was larger than life. I can pretty much already guarantee my cousin, and my family, won't appreciate the level of disturbing nature this story contains, but like yourselves, I hope you see this story through a different lens. If not, then maybe I'll just leave you with questions that will eventually be illuminated with the answers, in time.
