Description

Determined to prove her worth in the male-dominated world of STEM, a woman must spend a tropical work trip with her rival - and deal with the unexpected chemistry developing between them - in this witty and steamy rom-com from TikTok favourite author Nisha J. Tuli. Perfect for fans of Elena Armas, Ali Hazelwood and Nisha Sharma.

Engineer and woman-of-colour Trishara Malik has given five years of her life to WMC Purcell, a company rife with sexism, racism, and nepotism. When she's awarded an unexpected spot on the company's Leadership Retreat in Hawaii, she sees a chance to revive her floundering career and impress her idol, Vice President Diane Hart.

However, Tris learns they chose her only to fill a diversity quota - and that she'll be attending with her arch-nemesis, Rafe Gallagher, the boss's son and the man who stole her promotion. Sure, he might be nice to look at, but he embodies all the white male privilege that has plagued her career. Planning to avoid Rafe, she arrives in Hawaii to discover there's been a mistake with the booking - they're stuck sharing a suite, and there's only one bed. But as they navigate inspirational talks, aptitude tests, and team-building exercises, Tris learns Rafe might not be as bad as she's always believed.

When Diane shatters her career dreams, once and for all, Tris questions everything she's wanted for the past five years. Now, she must choose between shutting up and doing as she's told or standing up against oppression. While she's at it, Tris needs to protect her heart and decide if she can trust the man who once stood for everything she despises.
