His muses are life's many ironies, his past experience as a psychologist and marriage and family therapist and, in the case of Blue Moon, Richard Linklater's Before... series of movies and Kate Atkinson's Jackson Brodie novels. The author is currently working on a sequel that begins with a letter to the author of Blue Moon Revisited shortly after it has been published. The letter is written by a woman who claims she is the girl from high school he wrote about in his novel.
