The Runaway Heiress
Mistaking Miss Frances Hanwell for a runaway kitchen servant, Lord Aldeborough only realises his grave error the next day. With scandal imminent, a reluctant marriage seems the only course of action.
Reluctance turns to respect when Hugh uncovers the brutal marks of the unhappy life she's been leading. Suddenly, he will do all in his power to protect herespecially now, as an unexpected inheritance threatens to take Frances from him
Compromised Miss
Despite being unconscious for most of the night, Lucius Hallaston has been accused of compromising a lady. She may not be an obvious beauty, dressed as she is in seamen's garb, but his rescuer is all woman and now he must marry Miss Harriette Lydyard.
The Earl of Venmore is lethally attractive, and Harriette knows she should refuse him. Only, with her reputation in tatters, she must face the consequences of her actions by making a pact with this disreputable, dangerous devil of a man!
Anne O'Brien was born in the West Riding of Yorkshire. After gaining a BA Honours degree in History at Manchester University and a Master's in Education at Hull, she lived in the East Riding for many years as a teacher of history. She now lives with her husband in an eighteenth-century timber-framed cottage in depths of the Welsh Marches in Herefordshire on the borders between England and Wales.
