Reviews

"A heartbreaking story of what happened when the mighty powers at the League of Nations played ostrich for Fascist Italy's rape of Ethiopia, when they could have stopped Mussolini with his mustard gas and bombing of Red Cross hospitals. Vieta's novel is a lesson in the dangers of non-involvement. It brought tears to my eye." Marvin Kitman, American television critic, humorist, columnist, and Pulitzer Prize finalist

"Well written, expertly and realistically portrayed. Ceseli's fatalistic, heartfelt love affair is skillfully absorbing."Reviewed in The Mindquest Review of Books, by Lightword Publishing

Historically, the Italian invasion in 1935 was a brutal and devastating period for Ethiopia. We were not prepared to lose hundreds of thousands of people. It was an overwhelming loss for my country and for my family. My thanks to Frances Vieta for telling this story.
