Nathan is a young, aspiring writer. About two years before our story begins, he finds a kind of mentorship with a much older, much wiser woman named Julia. She's an accomplished author, while Nathan has only one very poor novel under his belt. Things are going well as she coaches him through his next book, until his former love comes strolling back into his life. From there on there's some "naked poetry", punching, projection, and lies Nathan must string along, even more than the fiction he's trying to write along the way.
I'm young and a complete amateur with no background or previously published work, besides some college years of creative writing and journalism. I'm from a "small" town right outside of Houston, Texas. Some time ago, I moved to a little hippie city for school. It ended up not being the best choice for me - the school, that is. Then, I fell in love a few times. Now, I have a novel to share.
"How cliche."
I know.
