Two in a Canoe is an upbeat tale of a young single mother dealing with a rattletrap inn by the Delaware River, a busload of stranded hippies, and a mid-winter ice jam that threatens all their lives, Along the way, she falls in love, reconciles with her parents, and finds her own strength to stand up to whatever challenges life throws at her.
Gail Pendleton's favorite place in the whole world is her summer house on the Delaware River in Pennsylvania. It's a magnet for friends and relatives of all ages. Sunday lunch for 35 No problem. When she's not swimming or rafting -- or just relaxing on the porch -- she has worked in journalism as as editor, columnist, and reporter, as an adjunct professor of English at Sussex County Community College, Newton, NJ, and as a Presbyterian minister who likes to leave a congregation both thinking and laughing. She also is a mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Her children learned how to swim in the Delaware River.
