Description

When Ava wakes up in an empty hotel room to find her husband missing, she must question her own responsibility in his disappearance. He has been accused of a reprehensible crime and up until this moment everything she thought about him and their life together could well be a lie. When she digs into his whereabouts, Ava comes face to face with her own past indiscretions and realizes that her past may be coming back to haunt both of them. Inside V is a novel of trust and deception, a dark look inside of a marriage that started as an affair, and the deep distrust that evolves from that initial infidelity. A must read for fans of Gone Girl and The Girl on the Train.

Reviews

"Call [Inside V] 'Gone Guy'. . .the stakes are high enough to keep you turning the page, and the twist at the end is a shocking payoff."
New York Daily News

"Paula Priamos has done a bang up job with her first thriller. Contemporary reviews and promotional materials will inevitably compare [Inside V] to two popular thrillers, Gone Girl and Girl on the Train. Inside V shares more genes with Scott Turow's excellent Presumed Innocent. [Priamos's] writing is crisp and colorful. Her story is fascinating, greyhound-lean, detailed and hauntingly believable."
New York Journal of Books

"Compulsively readable."
Toronto Star

"The narrative challenges notions of sanity and fidelity, justice and loyalty, with regularity and to fascinating ends. . . . Comparisons to recent bestsellers with psychological twists are warranted, but Priamos adds elements of devotion taken to the extreme that sets this thrilling book apart."
Foreword Reviews

"Priamos' first-person narrative is a heat-seeking bullet, expertly capturing Ava's essence and determination, set against the heat and sleaze that simmers under LA's surface...A lean, searing, and psychologically astute thriller with a surprising twist and an unforgettable heroine."
Kirkus Reviews

"Its brisk pacing, hooky chapters, and Los Angeles setting make for a noirish wedge to stuff between beach towels and a damp bathing suit."
Angel City Review
