Set in Australia, Mias Magic Wand is a fugitive journey from Sydney Harbour to the Kimberley. A mother, a father and a monk all want to fix whats f****d with the world. Each loves to gamble: the mother with politicians, the father with weapons, and the monk with God. A tragedy forces the gamblers to push all their chips onto the table.
The trouble starts when Tate Wolseya billionaire philanthropistdopes the mother, Mia, and rapes her. In an act of bitter revenge, the philanthropists wife steals his archive of blackmailing videos and gives it to Mia. All hell breaks loose and Mia ends up with the only surviving copy of the archive, which Tate calls his Magic Wand.
A federal election looms, news of the theft of the Wand leaks out and prominent politicians begin to worry. One of them, the Federal Police Minister, makes a deal with a jailed murderer, Dog, who holds a grudge against Mia. In quick succession, Dog is released from jail, Tates wife is killed, Mias daughter is kidnapped and Tate is shot through the head.
Late one night, Mia arranges to hand over the Wand in exchange for her daughter but the deal goes sideways and a gun battle erupts. In the chaos, Mia and her commando husband rescue their daughter and flee to the mountainsstill in possession of the Wand. Trekking to a highway, they hitch a ride with a truckie and travel to the Kimberley where a bloody struggle plays out. Dog is still at large and makes his last attempt on Mia while shes attending a funeral.

'Wow! Just, wow! That's exactly what I thought when I finished reading Mia's Magic Wand, the new book by author Peter Volkofsky. This story grabbed me from the very start and kept me obsessively reading all the way through until the very end! Follow the story of Mia, a woman who was drugged and raped by philanthropist Tate Wolsey. Tate's wife provides Mia with an archive of videos that Tate held in reserve for the purposes of blackmailing others. Tate had called these tapes his "magic wand" and suddenly Mia finds herself in possession of them. Many want what she now possesses, and are willing to do just about anything to obtain them. Will Mia be able to use the "magic wand" for what she desperately wants, the return of her daughter, or will she die trying You'll need to read this fantastic book to find out!
I loved Mia's Magic Wand. Loved. It. Author Peter Volkofsky has done a fantastic job in creating an exciting story that will keep readers on the edge of their seats, as well as characters that they will connect with, relate to and truly come to care about. If that isn't a hallmark of a great author, I'm not sure what is. Any reader who loves an exciting and suspenseful work of fiction should absolutely read this book. I am so pleased to be able to highly recommend Mia's Magic Wand and look forward to reading more from the obviously talented author, Peter Volkofsky, as soon as I possibly can!'
#MiasMagicWand 'Hi Pete, just finished reading your book. Loved it! Brilliant! Just like an Aussie Sin City. Dirty and grimy mixed with thoughtful poetic intellect. I have been looking forward to reading this book for a long time and I wasn't disappointed. Thanks mate! I love your work. Now I'm gonna have to read it again.
Cheers Matt.'

#MiasMagicWand 'Hey Pete,
I've been reading Mia's Magic Wand at night (at like.. 3am heh! ) while feeding Polly and just wanted to write and let you know that I'm really appreciating it. Parts of it make me feel homesick for red dirt and big blue skies and heaven.. It's hard to articulate.. but yeah thanks for writing it and pouring so much thought and time and love in to it. It's great and has been a blessing to me.
