Author Bio

Penny Batchelor is an alumna of the Faber Academy online Writing a Novel course. She is a freelance journalist, a former BBC content producer and website editor for various educational institutions, and lives in Warwickshire with her husband. Her journalism has appeared in numerous magazines and websites. Together with her author colleague EC Scullion she is the co-founder and editor of Thriller Women, www.thrillerwomen.co.uk, a blog celebrating female thriller authors and their latest books, which publishes a new interview every week. Her New Best Friend is her second novel. It follows the success of her debut My Perfect Sister, which was longlisted for The Guardians Not The Booker Prize 2020 and was a Waitrose Weekend book choice. Penny is currently writing her third novel.
