In MDAM issue #3, a Ministry of Fisheries enforcement officer finds himself in trouble after discovering illegal fishing activities far out at sea. Meanwhile, Kofi and Esi meet an investigative journalist who is having trouble getting sources for his stories. After an emotional confrontation in issue #2, Kofi reconciles with his father and tells him the truth about his superpower. In a dramatic conclusion, Kofi and his father, Esi, and the journalist undertake a dynamic sea rescue. Issue #3 once again provides inspiring "edutainment" for its readers, addressing issues such as deep-sea mining and biodiversity beyond national jurisdictions, while also providing the excitement and adventure that MDAM fans have come to expect.

Author Bio

Nick Tomb is an educator, nature lover and author. With cultural curiosity and an appetite for
adventure, he has found his way in the world promoting peace and security, conflict resolution,
military professionalism, gender equality, social justice, and environmental protection. A
California native, he lives in Monterey, CA with his wife and daughter. Inspired by the
dedication of people around the world who commit themselves to protect the oceans and
make human activity on the seas more safe and secure, he published his first graphic
novel-"The Adventures of Maritime Domain Awareness Man" issues #1 and #2 in 2023, and issue #3 in 2024.
